PostDoc: ATOM project

Currently I am part of the ATOM (Attack Tolerance using Machine Learning and Big Data) project, hosted by the Paris Saclay University. We are looking for a talented and motivated postdoc for a 1-year contract, with the possibility of being extended for another 2 years. The salary is about 34 000 euros.

ATOM is a joint project between University Paris Saclay, Telecom SudParis Engineers school and University College London. This project extends different artificial intelligence techniques to make systems more robust to attacks. The aim is to automatically generate alternative versions of the systems that are robust to adversarial attacks. These diverses versions will make the system adaptable, guaranteeing the quality of its services even under attack. The project will apply and extend a series of existing tools based on adversarial machine learning and genetic programming.
The postdoc will need to get familiar with these concepts, researching on how to connect them to deliver high quality standards software.

The position is for one year starting 1st October 2019.

Expected profiles

We are looking for candidates with research interests and expertise in a combination of formal methods and machine learning.
The successful candidates is expected to :
– Engage in advanced research, maintain an outstanding track record of published research at a level of international excellence and lead activities promoting research impact.
– Engage in professional development as appropriate
– Undertake any other reasonable duties that may be requested by the project.

The project is a joint effort between three institutes: University Paris Sud, who leads the project, Telecom SudParis and University College London. The candidate will keep contact with the main researchers of the three institutes.
